LIFE COACHING SERVICES

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY AND ACHIEVE YOUR LIFE GOAL

We are familiar with the concept of coaches in sports to help athletes reach their peak performance. Similarly in business, coaches help entrepreneurs, leaders & executives to gain success that they could not otherwise attain. Life coaching is about helping people reach their full potential and achieve their desired results.

Why do you need a life coach?

We need a life coach for the same reason that top athletes, or people in business use coaches in their arenas. The problem with working life out on our own, and doing self-help and personal growth, is that we have unavoidable blindspots. Our own bias, preferences, and mindsets can mean that we need external input to help see what we would otherwise miss. This can be catching the negative things that keep us stuck, or embracing the positive things that will unlock our potential. We all know that awareness is not enough, and so the other main reason we need a life coach is to help us take the right action that will lead to our desired outcome.

Experiencing these?

Sometimes one of the best ways to see if we will benefit from life coaching is to look at how we are currently experiencing life. Do you see one or a number of these in your life?

  • You feel you’re carrying too much of your past into your current and future life
  • Living too much by what you were told or experienced or failed at
  • Even though you’re successful you’re experiencing frustration and mental anguish
  • Carrying baggage you don’t want and you cannot get rid of
  • You’re too focused on what’s not right with you than what’s going well
  • You’re not focused on opportunities but what’s happened
  • You live with a fear that plays out into most areas of life
  • You don’t live with genuine hope for the future
  • You get lost in your head going in circles without transformative change

What could life look like with life coaching

  • A greater lightness and peace in your life
  • Having more genuine energy (not hyped) going into your expected future
  • Embracing life fully, including facing the issues
  • Greater health and vitality in your day to day
  • Learning to deal with pain and being authentic and honest about it
  • Moving forward with courage rather than looping on things that stop you growing
  • Navigating seasons of transition and stuckness with wisdom leading to freedom
  • True success – a life you wouldn’t trade for anything

‘I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed; and the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep on trying.’  – Tom Hopkins

What does a life coach do?

A life coach assists, guides and supports you to your desired results. They help you identify the gap between where you are and where you want to be, then overcome limiting beliefs and use actionable strategies to reach your goals.

Thes coaching usually comes down to three main areas:

  • Clarity – creating a clear vision of your current situation and desired situation
  • Strategy – an actionable plan to move forward from where you are
  • Accountability – healthy feedback loops & support to overcome obstacles and keep taking action towards your goals

It’s not a weakness to get help in these areas – it’s a strength. The same reason that top athletes get coaches so that they can focus on application and doing what they do best.

What are the benefits of life coaching?

The exact life coach definition and the benefits you will experience depend on what your specific goals are. Some of the most common areas clients improve while working with a life coach include:

Life Coaching Misconceptions

One of the main misconceptions is that life coaching is just reflective listening. While listening is a key component of being an effective life coach it is not the goal of the work together. You will receive input that will enable you to work towards next steps that will help you reach your goals.

The second main misconception is that it’s waffly and without direction. The truth is that you will end up with actionable strategies to move forward and that are specific to you. These will be based on your unique situation and bring the power of experience and insight as well.

The third main misconception is that you can’t be helped by someone who hasn’t experienced exactly what you have. It’s true that experience does help to have empathy, however the benefits that can be gained from a great coach come from them drawing on their wide range of personal experience, other clients from different fields and their coaching strength for results.

Testimonials

Adam Dragic

Founder and CEO – Solar Energy Enterprises Pty Ltd

“Paul personally has this uncanny ability to lead us to find the drive within our soul, and not through hard work but by looking within, and finding a way to follow our passions.”

Marilyn David

Belle Property

I learnt that based on our surroundings, our emotions heavily influence our decisions. In a high stress and a minimal time frame environment, we are forced to make decisions under pressure. An example of this is real estate. It is a high-pressure environment, you are under the pump constantly with deadlines and you are required to make a call or decision on matters that you have not yet had much time to think about and this can sometimes work to our advantage because the result can work well, better than you thought they could. On some occasions rational decisions can backfire and require more work to rectify. When this happens, I like to take time, breathe and de-stress to help with better decision making. I do this daily when I feel stressed.”

Walter Bugno

Past President – Campbell’s Arnott’s Asia Pacific

“15 years ago Paul introduced me to the concept that there is more to leadership and driving performance than just financials, processes & systems, that it was about culture, soul, love, heart & passion. Since then, every company that I’ve worked at I’ve adopted the philosophy of putting people first, of motivating with the heart, about leading with the heart rather than the head, and giving people the freedom to achieve their innermost desires, and it’s worked! It has made us successful”

FAQ

Can I get help with mental health issues?

While mental health issues are important, this is not the primary focus of a life coach. A life coach is there to work with the client through systems of accountability and action steps to ensure the client is working towards meaningful life goals. A mental health professional’s role is to provide diagnosis, treatment and ongoing assistance with mental or emotional difficulties. A coach may not provide treatment for mental health issues, but rather helps the client overcome self-limiting mindsets and belief systems to provide the opportunity for change and growth in their lives.

How do I make sure it’s a good fit?

It’s important that you connect well with any coach you have. The best way to do this is to schedule an initial obligation free call where we can meet and chat to see if there’s a good fit for both of us.
